The Dorset Pedlar is a buoyant business in the heart of Bridport's South Street & has gone from strength to strength since its opening in 1999. Its brave vision was to open a shop that was quite new in its presentation in Bridport. The fundamental essence was to source natural, ethically-produced products at a fair price & to create a peaceful, welcoming, healing environment in which to retail them. This successful principle of fair trade ethics & healing, with an extra pinch of love has been upheld by the new owners of the shop, Linda & Frank Younghusband, who have managed to source many unusual, beautiful & healthful products to complement this theme. |

Since 1999 many new fair trade suppliers have entered the marketplace who often source direct from small family producers overseas, ensuring that they are paid well for their work. Linda & Frank are excited at he opportunity the shop provides, especially knowing that they are supporting less developed communities with their work. This unique shop has developed over the years into a place of healing in the broadest sense, where every individual who enters is warmly welcomed.
